Kent's Bromeliad

AECHMEAS

This bromeliad’s name is derived from a Greek word for “spear,” and it’s quite fitting. The thin, spiky colorful flowers grow with deep cups and spiny edges. Aechmeas contain a large variety of foliage and patterns. Aechmea fasciata, with a flower head that is predominately pink, is one of the most popular bromeliads on the market. Kent’s also carries forms of spineless Aechmeas, in which the leaf edges do not feature sharp spines.
